If asked how was 2010, my answer would be "It was great at times but damn.. felt i was at the worst of my life too"

What was great?

Well, close-knitted family, definitely not by chance. I guess 2010 was one of the only years where there were less arguments and where my parents sorta got along considerably well?
Contract teaching gt on fine, colleagues were very helpful when i faced alot of problems with my beloved class monster.
Met great friends at NIE. Fun loving and all.. even managed to locate my long lost kindergarten friend through one of my NIE friend..
Sis is preggy with a girl! Gonna be auntie liao~

What sucks totally?

Schooling sucks.. Assignments sucks!
Sis is in U.S. and i want her back (so i would have someone to depend on
Dad's health is no good. In fact, i am very worried. (This should be the worst thing in 2010)
The feeling of being alone. sucks totally

Will 2011 be a good year? I would wish for nothing but my family to be healthy n happy.

Fatigue

This week was a horribly tiring week... largely due to the fact that it's the first week of sch...
2H has been considerably well behaved for this week. hope it stays this way.. Ive also adopted one of the love language on the whole class.. GIFTS.. in terms of food la.. i bought jellies and chocs for them. Hope they feel loved by Miss Wong.

I also had my very first in the lifetime experience just about 2 hours ago..My fren banged (lightly) into another person's car... Ouch for him... but might be a blessing in disguise to buang and end up still uninjured + the other party is also very well mannered.. din make a big fuss out of it. Haiz.. lesson learnt too..

Reason: SCHOOL is starting on MONDAY! ahhhhhhhhhhhh....
Current Wish: Time capsule please bring me back to 5th June when my holidays just started. BOOOO... but tts like how impossible. 9 more weeks.. ENDURE!

Anyways.. one thing to look forward to is 4th July. Not tt it's America's Birthday.. but it's Youth Day! Which means, 5th July is a school holiday compensated to us! HOW GREAT IS TT LAH! i am soooooo wanting to go into NIE now! Eager to return to student life. k but tt aside.. sorry bestie... 4th July is still a special day coz it's ur bdae. i din forget tt.. heh heh.. ur bdae n youth day simply rock!

Anyways, below is a pic taken recently with 3 nice frens! Till now, i am still kinda amused by how we r connnected. (anyways, left to right: Eugene, Me, Danny & Pak)

Story goes like this.. Pak (my 2nd sis' kindergarten fren and pri sch classmate) was from Rulang as well. So that makes him my senior. Danny, my JJC 1st 3 months OG mate, joined ODAC in JJC and became junior of Pak who was in JJC ODAC as well. I knew Eugene through a fren but later discovered he knows Danny too and they r good pals in NTU MSE.

Cool right? so with such 微妙 kind of connection, it is definitely necessary to call for a small gathering. So we managed to finally meet for a KBOX session after one year of planning (thanks to Eugene).

These little things light up my life. Hope to have more of such gatherings!

TVB drama madness!

I commited the bulk of my June Holiday on dramas! Currently addicted to the two below.. which are still being aired in hongkong currently.. heh heh.. i am sooooo up-to-date hor?

This one above is called 蒲松龄 from the 聊斋 series.. As u noe, sure gotta do with some ghosts de la..it's nice and it's largely due to the excellent acting of Steven Ma! He is darn funny inside.

and this is 谈情说案. Quite nice too.. There is my fav 林峰.. though he somehow became less handsome liao.. and 杨怡!!! i super love her. I tot her acting improved wor.. her crying scenes are still the best! and Kenneth Ma is not too bad too.. quite a convincing CID leader. COOL drama.. aired till ep 18 currently.. gonna end liao..

With hols ending soon, less time for me to watch drama le.. Heading back to sch.. booo.. stressful life agains. =(

Looking forward to lunch date with weijian, val and ben tml.. hope it doesnt rain so we can go kite flying at Marina Barrage. =)

Here is my Toshiba Satellite Pro L510.

Bought it at the PC show yesterday... I would say it's not a bad buy la.. since i am stuck with no lappie since sept or oct last year. Finally got my own lappie liao... (but i am greedy.. why din toshiba manufacture it in RED COLOUR? It will be more feminine looking if it were it red)

So it was mass downloading of programs and transferring of photos and music into my new love yesterday. Gonnnnnnaaa start watching my drama soon (flashplayer was one of the first stuff i downloaded). heh heh..

But i am so broke this month. =(

I finally bought The Five Love Languages of your family by Gary Chapman (yes Wong Min Shan actually bought a book to READ. Go buy 4D or Toto cause reading is definitely not my pastime.) It includes the part on Five Love Languages of Children as well which i thought is quite applicable to my job.

There is this part which really caught my attention.

You may find it helpful to frequently remind yourself of some rather obvious things about your children...1. 2. 3. 4. 5...... 6. If I love them only when they meet my requirements or expectations, they will feel incompetent and will believe it is pointless to do their best, since it is never enough. They will always be plagued by insecurity, anxiety, low self-esteem, and anger.

oh well, i am guilty about this point. My expectations of my form class is very high (academically and behaviorally) and these expectations are always changing, adjusting once they attained my set target. I think i forgot that they are children, they act like children and much childish behaviour is unpleasant (which are points 1 2 and 3 --> the obvious things about children that i may need to frequently remind myself about)

I am reminded about my problem kid in class. He don't care about being rewarded by gifts or being praised when i set out to only do these when he meets my expectations on days. So clearly, he doesn't really crave for gifts or words of affirmation. I shall give myself the next 2 months after sch reopens to discover the love language he speaks most loudly so i can top up his love tank and he will (hopefully) stop his nonsense to attract attention.

I am motivated by the stuff taught in the book. Thanks to my 大姐 for recommending it to me.

I WANNA SHOP!

It's GSS now but I'm still stuck home most of the time. Did i use up too much of my energy during the semester that i am feeling super tired. I can slp at 9 or 10pm now and wake up 8 or 9am the next morning. That's freaking 11 to 12 hours of slp. It's twice the amount i slp a day during my uni days. Fatigue is part of my soul now and still.. Shall use my 2nd week to recuperate further.

So i should plan to go out and shop during the 3rd week! Hopefully i can make use of the nice bonuses + GST offset package to reward myself =) Frens, please jio me out if u wanna shop!

Anyways, my mum bought this (as shown above). It can make fresh soya bean milk in just 20 mins (okies and also alot of other drinks like barley, etc la). Cool right? i've been enjoying nice hot and thick soya bean milk for the past 2 days. =) part of my breakfast is taken care of!

I've a story to share..

On this nice evening, a group of sec sch friends (all males + 2 females) gathered for a meal. After the meal, this whole clique of 23 yr olds went for some drinks and desserts. There and then, A started to gossip about Z from the clique who did not turn up tt day.

And so, A shared bout something quite shocking. B added on. C started doubt alot of things mentioned but continued to listen. Mind you, the stuff are shocking (in C's eyes at least).

So C went home with a heavy mind. Though not close to Z , she could not really digest what she heard earlier. So she chatted with D from the clique as well about this and D suggested C to ask Z directly about the gossip.

So C had this in mind for many days and incidentally, Z initiated a chat on msn with C. So she took the chance. Indirectly, she probed Z with a lot of questions leading him to tell her some stuff (which did not quite tally with what C heard from the rest) but of coz, Z is not stupid, as anticipated by C, Z asked if the rest gossiped bout him and said untrue things about him when he wasn't around. Let me emphasise, the guy did force C to say the details of the gossip but she did not utter a single thing about it.

So this thingy blew up with Z telling C tt he is gonna confront the rest about this issue. C panicked a bit coz she indirectly caused Z to fall out with the rest of the clique. But wells, if u think of it, when ur so called frens gossiped something untrue bout you, of coz you would confront them right?

So after the incident, C talked to some of the guys from the clique she is closer to. One of them joked about her not being invited to gatherings coz of her past record of spreading the gossip. As mentioned earlier, C did not brief a single detail about what was gossiped. Her approach to tok Z is by probing about his life, etc. Is this considered as betrayal? Does she deserved to be judged by the rest of the clique based on this?

Well well, you got it right. I am C. Not difficult to guess that right? I am so pissed off. Really! Knowing tt my character is largely engined by my straight-forwardness, i dare to question for enlightenment. YOU LIKE ME OR HATE ME FOR TT.. UR CHOICE!

LET ME DEFEND MYSELF NOW!

1. I believe i maintain the right to ask/ clarify when i am in doubt. Don't tell me i need to ask permission about speaking to a fren regarding his life.

2. I've done it in the most appropriate way to get the answers to my doubts. I did not betray anyone about what was shared during the gathering. HE FORCED ME TO SAY BUT I DID NOT! Whatever that he found out about tt day is not said by me.. so if he trashed things out with u all mentioning stuff that was shared on tt day, go n find the real culprit. IT WASN'T ME!

3. If you are the ppl who spread things, be it true or not true, and u judge people by only standing in your own position, then congratulations to having such myopic thinking then. You will survive great in the realistic world! Of coz i understand that if i share something not so nice with others, i would hope things don't get out of hand. But well, you wanna say something, face the consequences! Don't go around blaming others when being confronted. And don't judge me just because i am the only brave soul who dared to ask the lead character for 'the truth'.

Well of coz.. through this incident i learnt as well. I still dont think the act of asking or clarifying is wrong. When in doubt, ask~ I dun wanna blindly believe in what u all say. Can't I have tt right to do tt? And also, i somehow realised what Z told me contain untrue stuff as well. Even by asking, i dun get true stuff. Let alone be some stupid idiot who just blindly listen and believe what you all say. Wadever it is, if you wanna outcast me based on what i think is MY HUMAN RIGHT, then fine, i shall treat it as i made wrong frens lo. Seriously, i dun want to mix with stupid idiots with myopic thinking too.

so F out of my life if you dunno how to respect people but only judge with you tiny puny CMI brain + selfish behaviour. Be MEN please, not BOYS!

I thought i would be fine seeing my big sis off...

I FAILED (strikes big cross).

When sis started to hug ppl.. all the feelings n emotions came... BOOO... i am the only retarded ass who cried (even mum did not!)

90% coz i think i will miss her a lot. The other 10% is coz she has been settling a lot of stuff for the family. Now that she is gone, there's this fear in me building up. Fear for not being able to settle things efficiently like her, fear for not being able to even settle some stuff, fear that i cannot live up to her expectations to take good care of the family.

But hopefully everything in the family goes fine for this 1.5 years (keeps fingers crossed), i will do my best to take care of mum (along with 2nd sis and bro).

and i noe, i will miss her badly.

This was caused by the drip i had at the hospital yesterday. YES... as many friends of mine already commented that i must be the 前所未有 case of someone fainting after a wisdom tooth operation. Damn~ like i want it like tt lo. Well basically, after my op ard 3 plus on Tuesday afternoon, the wound continued bleeding for like 16 hours.. if you count.. yes.. it bled the whole night. SO I DID NOT SLP.. can u imagine urself swallowing blood every moment? i was super scared actually, kept thinking what if it doesn't stop bleeding!

k here comes the drama part. so at 7 plus on wednesday morning, i decided to climb out of bed to wash my wound with the gargle and then change a cotton gauze. So i went to the sink outside the toilet, and after washing.. okie.. i forgot wad i did after washing. According to my mum, i fainted in the toilet, right at the door of the toilet. So haha.. i must have tried to get into the toilet after washing my wound. AND how did she noe i fainted? COZ I FREAKING BROKE THE GLASS I WAS USING TO GARGLE.. so PIANGZ! and caught her attention. (k i cant remember a shit. i only remembered i was last standing at the sink.)

so i BLACKOUT for 1 or 2 mins.. but all along i think i heard my mum calling my name. so when i finally see some blur images, i was already in the living room with everyone crowding ard me. DRAMA right? i dun wanna faint again! so scary...

k anyways.. went to the hospital after that and doctor did blood test on me. Results: count of red blood cells is still higher and healthier than average. WTH... after losing so much blood.. the count is still healthy. So nvm, the reason why i fainted must be lack of slp and low sugar count. Thus, i was put on a drip. And of coz i was discharged after that. After i came home, i sank into my bed and 昏迷 for a few hours coz i was really weak n tired.

And TA-DA! i am fine liao. though i am still quite weak, no energy to open the lid of the ice-cream tub. ANyways.. the doctor asked me to eat ice cream and yoghurt (coz they are cooling and good for the wound and tt they can give me some sugar in my blood). My mummy is so good. She made porridge for me everyday and went to buy ice cream and yoghurt for me. loves my mummy so much.

K la. it's not tt swollen right? but visibly, the right side seemed to be more blown up than the left side. yups... tt's bout it. still look a bit pale but i am feeling alright le. I think i will become well known for fainting after a wisdom tooth operation. Thanks to my frens..

holiday mood!

arh.. forget about my angsty post few days ago. I officially announce that i am in holiday mood liao!

but not to forget about the wisdom tooth surgery on Tues which leaves me on MC for the next few days. Heard enough stories about how swollen my gums will become.. thanks for scaring me, frens.. but well.. i am hoping for the best!

and i've to mention this! my mum makes it a point to make herbal tea for us every weekend! so nobel right. loves her to the max! muackies!

Sis is gonna leave for USA like in 13 day's time for 1.5 yrs.. hmmm.. wonders how i would feel sending her off. She told me about this book: five languages of love. Ahh.. you guys shld know i totally don't read. But she said she learnt alot from this book as in how to love her family, her hubby and her friends and that she knows she needs to go and top up the love tank of her hubby. aww.. so sweet.. but my sibling love tank would be empty after she is gone.. So sis, COME BACK WITH SOME COACH BAGS OR SOME OTHER BRANDED BAGS. that will top up like 10 love tanks. =)

The son is a TERROR. The father is a HORROR. Sucks to have such parents around. Hello!!! (if i can i will push your head against the wall to wake u up!) Your son pinched a boy on the school bus and mind you, he doesn't have a CLEAN RECORD! I informed you not coz i pray that you can gao dim your incorrigible son. It's just that i HAVE TO as advised by the school. In the end, you end up saying it's other kiddos who bullied your son and tt he was only retaliating. It is unfair to push the blame to him.

and of coz, 老娘 also not 省油的燈. My reply to this 迂腐的 dad was: "Ok. I understand that other children disturb him as well. But we should keep reminding him that he shouldn't execute any sort of punishment on other students on his own. I will get the counsellor to speak to him about this issue. Thanks!" --> the last word here is to ask him to STFU! So well, grade my reply. 10/10 right. Shoot your son in a PR way.

There is this particular irritating colleague who speaks not without his brain but with low EQ. I hereby announce that i know you are not dumb so you confirm is 故意，刻意 and 有意地 say all those things. And again, 老娘又再一次, 不甘示弱地反駁，just to announce, i am not dumb either. Since you decided to say awful things which with your brains, you could easily decipher that it's gonna step on my toes, tail and wadeva, i am telling you, i DISLIKE you. Stop thinking that you are damn smart. 不要以為你的語文程度很好！說句難聽的，你的X語也真夠爛! So stop thinking you are that great! And please, if you insult my chinese standard again, i will say things that will make u STFU!

life and classroom episodes

This looks like my desk @ 3am this morning. Those papers include SA1 essays and revision papers by 2H. YES.. i freaking marked till 3am.. why did i torture myself? i dunno too.. i just noe i still got one more hectic week of madness for me to brave through next week.. and after tt, it's rushing to keying in of results!! omg.. TERM 2 is MADNESS!

and why this sickly picture? no no .. not me.. i am healthy (keeps fingers crossed) my students are the ones falling sick..

On Thursday, 6th May..

Me: Ivan, are you feeling ok? (x 10 times in the classroom)

Ivan: .... (stared at me and nodded his head for 10 times)

hello!! cant even answer my question with a YES or No... how can you be ok? but i just thought he's gonna fall sick so he looked sick.. then after multiple checks on his condition, what i'd overlooked has happened.. Ivan vomited (silently with no 'vomit-splashed-onto-floor' sound) but the sudden movement of the kids ard him in directions of North South East and West alerted me. Arh.. then i realised he vomited. so....

Me: IVAN!!! why u not feeling well nv tell miss wong? see now u...... (then sympathy caught a grip of me. he is so poor thing le.. suffered the whole day in SILENCE and so i immediately changed into a motherly tone)......... do you still have anything to throw up? do you want to go home? go and wash up in the toilet now...

and so this episode ended with the cleaner coming up to clean up (of coz) while i continued teaching (duh!) but of coz, i wld definitely need to call up his parents to inform them about their poor kiddo..

On Friday, 7th May....

my #3 naughty kiddo walked to me when i first entered the classroom after their art lesson..

Shermann: "Miss Wong.. why liddat one? (one hand touching his neck and the other holding my hand with a strong indication that he needed major help) why so hot?"

and while saying this.. he started sobbing.. must have felt so terrible feeling sick. so i touched his forehead n it was freaking hot. you guys might not understand la.. but these 2 episodes in my classroom reminded me about my role as a teacher (minus teaching)

1. my students trust me (like how they trust and rely on their parents) and they run to me when they need help

2. i am the only one responsible for my students for wadever that happens to them .. wadever...

and i like to assume the role of taking care of them (minus the part when they turn super naughty) but when they are helpless, it really brings out my motherly instincts.. well what else can i say? I AM DEFINITELY IN THE CORRECT JOB!

posted this coz sy and bena juz celebrated for me.. 5 days earlier coz bena is flying off to the states to see her beloved on 27th and will only be back on 26th May.

muackz muackz for both of them. just doing simple things like having dinner tog.. going to the arcade to play bishi bashi, dessert-ing... can make me a happy girl. i am so glad we r still as bitchily close tog. they were also brave to risk their lives taking my car today... for it was my first time driving UP a multi-storey carpark today (my first time in a multi-storey carpark was going DOWN) and i think sy nearly puked blood (which i am not toking bout it)

the aftermath of a great concert..

yups! my first time on circle line...

and i was greeted by this at the exit of Stadium MRT station. HAHA... so guess i turned left or right? (oh but look at tt queue behind the sign.. tt's the queue for the toilet - at the mrt station.. wth.. )

nah nah.. not Mayday again.. i had quite abit of them last yr le.

so yup, i turned left. super thankful towards cammy who gladly accompanied and 'sponsored' me to 'S.H.E is the one' concert. It's my 9th concert in my whole life.. shall choose a super good one to make tt my no. 10!

Tell you what... S.H.E rocks!! Their live concert is totally MAGNIFICENT. A total enjoyment of singing 95% of the songs with them (which makes me the only hyper one in the quiet block).

p.s. i totally worship hebe for her ************** voice. (fill in the blank using any positive words)

just like how my tutee named it (clam sea).. i feel calm looking at it. sucha nice peekture he took. think i teach him econs, he can teach me photography in return.

argh.. how bout this? i am a sucker for flowers. Flowers bring smiles to girls. i am just like any other girl (maybe just abit more of a chilli padi kind). =D hopes birthday comes soon.. at least it will give me a reason to enjoy.. term 2 is no joke. i am feeling the stress liao.. minshan needs a place like this NOW! serene, quiet, breezy (though cant feel by looking at this peekture~) i am so tired when it's just into week 3 of the term. hopes to lay a mat here and just drift into my beauty slp.

just some updates. in short, minshan has been:

working hard (of coz), educating children to become more knowledgeable & more morally upright.
turning lazy at home (ironically). that i am so lazy to even put masks on my face. complexion compromised. but wells.. no one looks at me too.. only 8 yr olds kiddos.
learning all about interpersonal skills. if only can attain Ph.D for this humane module.

"Teacher! Teacher! Teacher!" As much as i told the children my name is MISS WONG, they still call me TEACHER like they call every other teacher.

Relief teaching for 3 days. 1st day was most shiok. Took two pri 4 classes and they r mid and high ability classes. At the end of the first day, i was told to be taking the most jialat class (in terms of ability and behaviour) in the sch... being warned bout their ability and behaviour, i was able to establish the image of a veri stern teacher and so they were pretty much controlled. Today was my 3rd day. Took the low-ability class of pri 4. They are actually quite okie.

Anyways, i was told to assume duty in the afternoon session from next week onwards. Hmm.. afternoon session.. though i wld prefer morning la.. but its okie.. i dun mind la.. the form teacher of the class is like leaving at end of next week... so i am gonna take over the whole class as the form teacher. it's a pri 2 class. hopefully they r well-behaved and good. Quite stressed to totally take over a class when i am juz a newbie but i quite look forward to it too.

I WAITED FOR FREAKING THREE AND A HALF HOURS JUST TO SEE THE DOCTOR FOR THREE MINUTES!

okies.. so pissed.. finally the day to go and do my medical check-up today.. to protect my ass, i shall just call my employer (E) and the Hospital (R). HAHA! Alright, E made us choose slots to go for our check-ups.. so i chose the 3pm slot and arrived at R at 2.45pm actually.

All i did there was to wait and wait.. till 5 plus then i was called to go and take the x-ray. And xuanwan who took it after me, actually got her x-ray copy like before me and went back to the waiting area and wait her queue number (to see the doctor duh). And while she was waiting downstairs, i waited at the x-ray clinic for freaking 15 mins or maybe 20mins when i took the x-ray before her! how inefficient and cock up. So i discovered that the expert who took my x-ray for me accumulated like almost 10 ppl's before she go and print it and give out. so being first on her list, mine was stacked all the way at the last in the pile of x-rays.. and so.. i was the last to leave the x-ray clinic and last to go down to the waiting area to be called in to see the doctor. HOW COCK CAN THE HOSPITAL GET!!!!

i am reeli frustrated with how they work man! if they follow the queue number strictly and i still had to wait for 3.5 hours.. it's perfectly fine! but it was due to their damn cock up system and inefficiency that i waited for sucha long time juz to let the doctor measure my blood pressure, direct me to lie down to check my heart beat and press my abdomen for 5 times, sit up and listen to my heartbeat again and ask me if i wanted a breast examination (all these in 3 mins). It reeli makes my blood boil when there were appointment timings arranged and yet the hospital doesnt follow so wad for make us choose the timing. if i had known.. i would have gone down when the health-check department starts operating in the morning. ARGH! stupid!

but wells.. lucky i brought my deathly hallows out. I made up my mind to read the book again after half-blood.. coz the story links soo much and that it reeli makes me hate myself not remembering what happened in deathly hallows.. and so i finished the book at the clinic.

tuitions are on everyday. i hope the one on sat can be resheduled to thurs.. coz its the 4th time = money coming in and i dont reeli like the idea of onli receiving my pay next week. argh.. veri broke..

okies.. the past semester was reeli hectic for me alrights.. that explains why my blog has been put on hibernation mode for 4 months.

seriously.. i dunno wad to blog about coz.. so many things have happened over the past many many months.. but to conclude everything.. it has been smooth and filled with happy experiences i shld say.

went to taiwan and hongkong for my grad trip. reeli enjoyed myself which the bunch of frens.

another joyous thing was that i received a call from shuhui and got to noe our fyp got A- juz minutes after i touched down. well.. i am seriously veri contented already.. coz.. of so many drafts we did.. our supervisor juz din wanan give us an agar grade.. so we totally have no idea about how we fare. but well.. this grade matters alot to me coz it aided me to ascend to 2nd upper honours (which was part of my resolutions for the year) and another successful resolution --> i passed my driving this yr too.. at first try.. best birthday gift man! So well.. isnt it quite a smooth sailing 1st-half-of the-yr for me?

anyways.. being always quite sure that i will become a teacher ultimately, i did not go along with my plans to work in the corporate world for few yrs and then do a mid career switch to be a teacher. i happily signed the contract coz it's reeli my dream to teach --> sucha not so noble dream. lol. so since the day i came back, i have been meeting different grps of frens to chill and spend quality time tog before all of us turn into workaholics.

Went to this gathering of nbs class of 2009 at timbre old sch yesterday. damn fun. love it.. i will miss nbs peeps alot. hmm.. juz received my posting not too many days ago.. lakeside pri sch. hope i wld love my job and the sch there =)

like mentioned in the title, my mao clique is suffering from leaving-members-syndrome. Rach is flying off like on 6th feb n thus, our girlpower decreased from 5 beauty stars to 3 only. I was freaking glad tt i can make it to send her off coz i will reeli hate myself if i cannot make it due to my hectic schedule (of tuition-ing).

orh wells, we were soooo clever that we met up once for 3 major things to fulfil and they are namely 1. celebrate julie's belated 22nd bdae, 2. a farewell dinner for rach & 3. the MAO reunion dinner. Seriously, is it coz i am too old or wad? i dun remember we had any reunion dinners except for like once at julie's place which was super long ago. (see below for pictures)

But wells, we nv fail to tok bout our nanhua history but it is always veri heartwarming when we tok bout the 'those were the days' stuff. and yeah, we've known each other for like 9 yrs and going to be the 10th for 2009. Sweet. I've to agree that heaven is nice to me coz he brought me many many many many super gd frens to my life.

Anyways, alot of things happened over the past (nearly) month. Sch started and happiness n unhappiness is juz all ard u. Seen ugly side of ppl, but being such n optimistic person, i choose only to magnify happy stuff.

i am getting reeli busy man. but most imptly i am doing things i like.. e.g. DRIVING, Tuitioning (MONEY), Running, Playing Captain's ball/Bball. I hope to add more things into this list to make my 2009, or at least the last semester in NTU to be meaningful and unforgettable. Tire me out but make me happy plz.

orh btw, i have been emphasizing so much on 平常心. i think its reeli veri impt. Dun expect too much but at the same time, dun be so negative about things n ppl ard me. Try ur best and listen to the verdict with 平常心, n only there n then, one will be more appreciative about things that happen coz they happen for a reason. TOO CHIM? nvm.. be matured n grow up like me then u will noe. =) heh heh!

minshan has learnt alot of things recently.... i need to grow up and not only noe how disgusting things can get but noe how to handle them.

1. i am quite gullible coz being a truthful person, i tend to think coz i am truthful, ppl will be truthful to me and i believe every alphabet they say. so conclusion, i am stupid. hate myself for being like tt... i wanna turn scheming and bad so i wun haf a taste of being cheated or betrayed again.

2. i tend to wonder whether a person was already like tt to start of with and whether he/she has been putting on a mask to befriend me. scary to notice how frens change and i am again, disappointed with my judgement which i used to be so proud of.

3. I learnt that i shld juz shut up when i am pek cek n stop telling everyone or even anyone about my unhappiness.. coz i nv noe how fast my complaints can be turned into gossips and come back to say hi to my ears. the feeling of being 'stuck by a lightning' is super troubling. If my complaints can turn frenship sour or cause unnecessary misunderstandings, then i rather keep in to myself.. or vent it here.. right here~

4. i start to wonder who are reeli my true friends and who are those crap ones who dunno wad they are saying or doing be it intentionally or unintentionally! my brain is in a mess now, at times my emotions try to rule my brain to tell me how precious such frenships are but my brain persuade me to believe that frens can disappoint me at times too.

noe wad.. wad's the worst thing is that u got useless siblings who cannot offer a single helping hand in anything and everything... i have nv wished or hoped tt they can help me in anyway.. but when it comes to some chores tt my mum request for help, the order will always come directly to me.

Well.. i was telling alicia and raymond.. ever since sch started.. the onli thing tt brought true, retained happiness to my life was my weekly visits to bestie's hse (after she is discharged of coz).

Reeli.. its an ordeal for both bestie n me from late july till recently. I swear at points of time when she was hospitalised, i was so scared tt i am going to lose this girl forever. which reminds me of some conversations of tt both of us had some time ago (before this incident).. we were toking bout what if one of us die suddenly.. how we will feel and what will become of us.

now i am so sure, i wld nv wanna experience this again, reeli. i almost died from an undescribable mixture of pain n fear when reuben told me "sy had breathing difficulties n is going to the ICU". tears rolled down uncontrollably for 3 hours (or more?) and i am seriously not joking bout this.. i cannot imagine how her parents n reuben felt at tt time.. worse than me definitely.. the emotions juz let my tears had a free-fall session and i was reeli scared.. when i saw her frens crying, i understood how they felt yet i wanna be strong n tell them tt we shld be strong for bestie n support her throughout this long fight against the illness.

i guess... this emotional support did help (i hope) + bestie's self-claimed strong immune system (ahem~) but i am so glad this whole thing is over. Her brain is functioning veri well with quick responses to suan-ing, her walking rocks now maybe can run soon?, her appetite is good and everything is improving.. like wad she said.. even though i go there we can onli gossip about 'u-noe-who', watch tv and eat tog, its good enuff.. simple = happy. our frenship is simple = we are happy besties. i guess.. after all these, i learnt to cherish people more than i do before.... es. my bestie..

cher sook yee.. i watched u going thru all this (still watching) and i am so proud of u being a strong girl. Though ur determination is swayed by pessimism when u start to hu si luan xiang, but i am glad our encouragement and ur own perseverance have brought so much improvement in ur health and condition. i love you sooooo much! muacks! looking forward to us going out tog to do the trashy stuff we used to do. those are simple entertainment which builds up our frenship from 11 yrs old till now. its gonna stay like this FOREVER.

I came to realise more things recently... the power of frenship when its extended.. i am truly touched by some of my uni frens.

Knowing sookyee as juz "minshan's best fren" or only having her hanging ard once or twice during lunch time or teaching her biz law and accting or having her assisting in the photo-taking at NBS..whicheva way it is.. i have to say thank you to the following people... I help sookyee to thank you guys for either going down to visit her at Mount Elizabeth personally or sms-ing me to ask about her condition... i felt the care n concern that u all wanted to extend to her and i am sure she felt it too.

ever since thurs.. my luck is quite down... but lets say the good thing first.. my results is quite good this time round considering i din flunk my accting 2 with tt report grade of D+. n i finally break the curse of range of Bs for my core modules this time n got my first A after 4 sems of mugging. on top of that.. back to my dearest econs.. heh heh.. i din score tt well or bad.. an A- and a B+. so tts all bout the good luck tt barely lasted for 24 hrs.

认识我的朋友会觉得我时正常时疯时癫，人格还挺不错的（应该是吧？）是的，我是个典型的金牛座女孩，是个男人婆，个性十分刚硬，超男人。

不认识我的人会以为我是个不懂得和男生划清界线的贱女人，不过很遗憾的，我一点也不在乎别人怎么看我。只要我爽，才不管你们不爽什么！

对我而言，世界残酷，什么都分黑白。我常对静仪说什么都只有对或错，没有别的。其实心里是觉得有灰色地带，但是，没有办法，我就是这么现实。想所有的事情都用脑，不是单单用心。

真的不懂我的人会认为我说话没不会顾虑到别人的感受。我只能说，你要问我，就听我说，接受我的有话直说。你不可以接受，会感到我说话没有顾虑到朋友的感受，那请你真的不要问我。因为我认为朋友之间，最基本的就是可以有话就说。如果连平常的闲话家常都要想着如何婉转地说，很累，而我可以告诉你，我不愿意连说话都要超累的。

我知道我的嘴巴恶毒，不过幸好老妈让我遗传了她的伶牙俐齿，所以我大概从来没有被人重伤过或欺负。所以，真的不要得罪我。以我敢爱敢恨的作风，让我超爱的朋友们，我只能说你们超幸运。哈！

其实我挺小心眼的，也很会记仇。让我不爽的事，我会一直记着。虽然不会报仇啦，但是它永远是个心结，会记那个人一个大过。

除此之外，我很讨厌别人说我固执，没有心。可能没有到讨厌的程度，　不过，就是不喜欢咯！每个人都有自己做事的方法和想法，我自己也有也真的不愿意去改。再说，我扪心自问也得到了自己诚心的回答　－　对于很多身边的人，我真的很努力做一个好女儿，好朋友。每当朋友说我没有心，我真的会反省，问自己是不是做的不好，很伤人的耶。　

总的来说，现在的我挺知足的。虽然世界有很多不合理，不公平的事，但我有一群超好的朋友，是一件很值得庆幸的事。虽然我在金钱方面挺穷的，但在亲情和友情方面，我还算富有。是句老话，但真的，亲情和友情是无价的。

EXAMS ARE CORNERING ME!

okie.. have been mugging frantically in sch everyday for the past one week plus? haix.. no time no time.. i mean yah.. i am spending time to blog now.. but my brain is too dead to carry on mugging after burying myself in HR research mtd for the whole day.

But anyways.. back to my wad my title means... well.. though its bad n stressful period now.. i haf veri nice ppl creating nice moments for me.. first of all.. lets look at the slice of cake below..

this was one slice of a whole of home-made durian cake.. its 100% zhen cai shi liao and was offered 2 slices by my tuition kid's mum.. she said " I see you look so stressed up n tired everytime u come for tuition.. auntie buy cake treat u eat.. shun bian celebrate ur bdae for u.." anyways... her son who is my tuition kid.. is borned on 28th april.. juz a day before me.. so she was like saying.. celebrate earlier lo.. coz by the exact date.. her son also having exams.. hah.. SO NICE RIGHT? i am so lucky to haf such a nice parent to work with.

Moving on.. i was offered a great help by mr peh.. yes.. he is the teacher who wrote a letter to me. haah.. i was having a great deal of probs with one of my econs modules. the textbk sucks and only makes me more confused.. so i asked mr peh to teach me stuff i not sure or dun understand.. n he agreed.. so i went over to his hse on fri night for intensive 3 hours consultation.. and he sent me home! so good hor? and he was saying he feels happy to be able to help ppl n its like a disease.. yah.. i agree.. he has this overly kind-hearted genes or wadeva in him.. incurable disease.

Anyways.. juz to share some funny stuff.. a conversation over brunch with my classmates..

I received this.. from shuhui today. she was asked to pass the letter to me.. was super shocked but more of happiness...

he nv fails to call me miss wong.. coz of my role/character in the chinese drama production. he is the best teacher in my heart.. teaching me alot of things in life, sharing his experiences, he is down-to-earth and soooo approachable till i still run back to him whenever i haf probs with ECONS.. he is the teacher who always sends me home after gatherings coz we r all jurong ppl =).. he is the teacher who dunno he has done sooo many things that normal teachers wldnt do and he doesnt think he is tt good when i think he is the best! he is reeli veri encouraging and i always think he is such a good role model for students... there are more but i cannot think of them now.. but.. last but not least.. he is the only teacher who wrote a letter to me coz he heard from my fren tt i am veri stressed now.. i am not being emo.. but.. i am reeeli veri touched by his caring actions for students.

and he is mr peh.. bestest teacher i eva met.. so blessed.

Oh wells.. was a special day for my 'oldest' (in terms of yrs of frenship) fren mr tang ying xiang yesterday.. went for his bdae celebration and wow.. he haf alot of frens.. HELLO.. its true okie! its not veri shun lu to go n help u do ur stuff.. n she scolded "FUCK it".. thanx.. i nv scold u shld clap le.. fancy trying to irritate me on a day where i lack ALOT OF SLEEP. another selfish person.

worse is.. my mum added "u all all selfish ppl la!" i feel damn pissed.. thanx.. i seriously dun think i am at fault in both the situations.. n if i am reeli selfish.. i wld not be soooo damn tired for the past few weeks.. trying to juggle with limited time n alot of work.. lagging in all my readings which i dun like at all.. its coz i noe u are veri xin ku making cookies to sell also... n thanx.. SELFISH used on me when erjie n ah boy nv even lay their fingers on the dough/mixture to help u! PISSED! n hello.. i need to study at night coz i got no other time to.. so ur boy says he needs to slp when he cld slp all he cld while i was giving tuition, helping u! n tt crap.. yah.. she doing intern at SPH.. veri busy.. so she is the onli busy one? she still haf rest day lo.. when is mine? i dun even haf a single rest day for 4weeks le.

BAH!!! i need to rant.. i am so angry now! i am not a print-money-machine!!!! n u r seriously making me more n more scared of staying at home. WTH. u noe i invested all my free time to give tuition. not onli am i sacrificing my time for rest but also for play. why ppl can hang out with frens during weekends n i need to stay home to catch up with my studies. if i reeli heck.. i cld juz flunk my exams as all noe.. i am in the wrong course n currently no interest in anything tt has to do with HR. But i am hanging on still.. trying to manage my time so i got money to spend n dun need to ask mummy for money. n there u r.. asking for 500, 1000.. I WHERE GOT SO MUCH MONEY TO GIVE U! n WAD THE FUCK.. n one will understand how i feel.. when i am working so hard n yet my accts are depleting.. n somemore not depleted by me! i din even ask u to buy laptop for me.. i din even ask allowance from u.. i din even request tt u pay for my textbooks.. why is it so unfair!? i am juz 20 yrs old mind u n u are using my money.. so much of my money... i give up on u. reeli. i was feeling veri moody eva since huiting jaysen n raymond left for china. its quite stupid to feel moody coz they are there for work study GIP and i shld be happy for them coz it will be a good experience for them. but still.. its for half a yr.. no more raymond's crap, n more jaysen's silly comments.. no more studying with them in leeweenam library... for 6 months. SAD...

n i wasnt behaving normally at the airport leh.. when huiting started sobbing n hugging us.. i feel veri veri sad coz its reeli time for them to go. everyone's eyes turned watery.. but i cldnt reeli cry.. n i wanted to hug all of them so much but i din... when i was on jaysen's parents' car.. overheard his mum's conversation with him.. then i smsed him "hey. take care leh. i abit regret nv hug you juz now. AH..." n tt lamer replied me "haha.. no worries la... can hug when i come back... haha.." lamer... you come back le why i still wanna hug you? but anyways... wads worse was when i got home n lay on my bed.. those scenes at the airport came flashing thru my mind n i started tearing.. so silly of me. but its coz i am reeli close to them n i will definitely miss them alot then i cry. haix..
